Cloud brokerage firm Ingram Micro announced on Monday it has partnered with web hosting provider Netmagic Solutions to sell its managed hosting and cloud services.
With this partnership, Netmagic will join Ingram Micro’s network of partners and system integrators.
The growth of the cloud computing services market has brought along a huge opportunity for cloud services brokers in assessing and selling cloud services.
Ingram Micro assistant director Pierre Descoteaux discussed this in detail in his presentation at last month’s HostingCon 2012.
“Our focus is on identifying the growth engines of the future and make early investments toward bringing these technologies to the market through our partner ecosystem,” said ,” said Jaishankar Krishnan, managing director at Ingram Micro India. “Data center and cloud services are such growth engines experiencing rapid adoption amongst a large set of customers. Ingram Micro is proud to be associated with Netmagic in developing a partner model for selling these services to the large SMB market in India.”
Ingram Micro will extend Netmagic’s services through its 1,200 system integrators and value added resellers across India.
Netmagic services will also be available to Ingram Micro’s more than 10,000 partners in India.
The two companies will provide dedicated resources and training to partners to simplify the sales and operations process.
Netmagic CEO Sharad Sanghi says the partnership will “help increase the penetration of these services across India and enable partners to offer world-class managed hosting services to their customers as part of their portfolio,” and ultimately, “re-define how data center services are offered in India”.
