Web hosting provider OrcsWeb announced on Friday its full support for Windows Server 2012 for dedicated and cloud servers.
Windows Server 2012 general availability starts September 4, but OrcsWeb says its clients can take advantage of Windows Server 2012 now.
This news comes a few days after Microsoft announced some changes to the executive team of its Servers and Tools division.
OrsWeb says with Windows Server 2012, its clients will find high levels of uptime, and have an easy-to-manage multi-server platform. Windows Server 2012 also enables hybrid applications across the data center and the OrcsWeb cloud.
According to a presentation by Microsoft at its partner conference last month, Web hosting on Windows Server 2012 will improve scalability, feature IIS sandboxing and CPU metering to eliminate “noisy neighbors”, and is designed to support modern applications and web frameworks.
“The technology enhancements Microsoft has delivered with Windows Server 2012 will empower our clients to take full advantage of cloud computing,” Jeff Graves, direcotr of technology at OrcsWeb said in a statement. “The focus on high availability, scalability, and virtualization have made this one of the most important releases of Windows Server to date. OrcsWeb has been working closely with Microsoft throughout the pre-release development cycle of the platform to both drive the direction of the product and ensure our team is ready to support Server 2012 solutions. We couldn’t be more excited, and confident in the solutions now available to our clients with Windows Server 2012.”
